With a keen eye for visual imagery and a deep-seated passion for cinematography, lighting and editing, Karl has been lecturing in a third-level educational role at Ballyfermot college of further education by the age of 23.
He has been involved in multiple productions He has collaborated on a number of well-received short films in multiple film festivals (Fingal,Download) and has directed, shot and edited multiple music videos and fashion films for an array of clients. (NEOMADiC, Silent Ghost, MELT Fashion Collective) as well as multiple multinational advertisements for Understance for online, streaming and television concurrently.

The Rebirth of Sionainn
There is a legend in Irish Folklore, for how the river Shannon (Irelands largest river) came to be. Sinann/Sionainn was the granddaughter of the sea-god Lir. According to legend, Sionainn approached Connla's well, a mythical spring that was a source of wisdom. Around this well were 9 hazelnut trees which dropped nuts into the water, wherein the salmon of knowledge who lived there would feed upon them. Anyone who drank the water, ate the salmon or the hazelnuts would be granted godly wisdom.
Though the reason varies from tale to tale, it is consistent that Sionainn breaks some unknown rule as she approaches the well, resulting in the well water springing forth and sweeping her away to sea, drowning her in the process. The river that lay in the wake of her death was named after her, known now as the Shannon (an anglicized version).
This video takes place not in that legend but as an imagining of the moment Sionainn drowns. Sionainn having been washed to sea, wakes up, unknowing of what has happened, all the while transforming, losing her mortal form, and becoming a goddess of the water.

A second Commission By NEOMADiC front man, DYRAMiD. TRAiNZ follows the simple day to day life of a struggling musician, balancing his work with his art. Though this is is a simple narrative, the video is being lauded for it’s stylishly perfected visuals in telling the story.

with this project Karl was given the brief “woman gets with a wild-man” and was given room to tplay around and create a coherent story around the objectively out there theme.

With a fully constructed set (Overseen by talented IADT trained production designer, Conor Neville) a crew and cast of 16 people, and backed by the score of brilliant English music act BILLY PILGRIM WITH THE HEARTSEASE KID, who flew over just to film for their music video. I love you, Dennis Bergkamp is a stylish, action packed and grippingly layered production featuring actors, musicians and to keep an eye on in the near future. (Especially in the new NETFLIX series NIGHTFLYER

Commissioned by the talented Irish rap duo NEOMADiC, TiCKER is a colourfully dark and hyper stylised visual perfectly fitting the mellow acid rap styling of the song it compliments.
FASHION
MELT: Fashion Collective
MELT is a Belfast based collaborative fashion collective representing and giving a platform to emerging young Designers. After filming the first event as a favour for a friend, Karl has been brought onto the team as the MELT official videographer due to the team's collective appreciation of the film he created. Karl will now be in charge of creating a unique and massively impressive and stylistic fashion documentary for each MELT event.
